I know that I promised to do objectives and outcomes this time but seriously: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=88359¤tpage=1014#20274
For the uninitiated, Eve Online is a MMO sandbox universe where anything goes. People lie and cheat and nobody keeps score. A bit like a wayward Whose Line is It Anyway but in space :)
The linked article is about how one player seizes an opprtunity, takes on a monopoly and starts a trade war. But this would not have happened without 2 key elements: (1) a gap in the market design; and (2) an understanding of human behavior.
I don't believe that this is any difference in the real world.
Best regards,
AA
